Lesson Plan 2

This was my last lesson, which was observed, during my practicum placement at Kay Bingham, which focused on synonyms and antonyms. The activity in this lesson was a fun and engaging exercise called “hot seat” in which two students had to sit in a chair with their backs facing the whiteboard. I would then write a word on the board and have the students try and guess the word. Students were split into teams, so the catch was the students in the hot seat had to rely on their teammates hinting towards the word using synonyms and antonyms related to the word on the board. If the students guessed correctly then that team was granted a point. This was a great way to bring fun and collaboration into the classroom.
